Post #28 A true democratic party is evolving in the county 3/21/11

As you should be now fully aware, the county connected democrats which call themselves “regular democrats” on the election party line actually hijacked the democrat party line for their own self-serving agenda. You have heard the facts time and again about nepotism, bad politics, pension padding, cronyism, behind the scenes manipulation, uncalled for give-aways, rampant waste and spending, mostly on the county level and other towns but yes some of it appears in this town also. You have read my past flyers. (if you haven't read the flyers contact me for a copy)

A while ago, I had suggested that the true democrats get rid of those self serving democrats in control on the local and county level. By the election results, you have indeed been trying and even had some local successes.

You now have the chance to formally clean up the government of bad politics by a true democratic party. See link above. They are called "democrats for change."

This is a new democratic party line to challenge the “regular democrats". The organization has been around for about two years. Some of their candidates were on on the primary ballot last year. They are fed up with what is going on inside their party but have a tough time getting high profile and fostering enough forces to change it, since the county “regular democrats” control the nominees, candidates, selections of the party.

I may be an independent, but I do recognize that this is a good choice we have if we want to see good government revived. You know I endorse by voting for libertarians, independents, democrats if they show they care, republicans if they show they care. But if indeed you think that we are a democrat town and county then these are the true democrats to help us. These "democrats for change" are to replace the "regular democrats". There is a struggle betwen these 2 and you may hear "regular democrats" bashing the new-comers. But just look them in the eye and say, anything is better then the proven self serving corrupted system you no have in place. That is the truth; they should be ashamed of themselves for what they created and enabled.

The "democrats for change" are comprised of factions from Elizabeth, Rahway, Plainfield, Hillside, Roselle, Union. You’ve heard me call these groups the Fajardo democrats, Devine democrats, Mapp democrats, Menza democrats.

In talking the past few years to this group they are looking for candidates in Garwood, the county and other towns to run in the primary challenging the “regular democrat” line. It is time for change within the ranks. Those in the know of politics, know exactly what I am talking about regarding control and not being able to ask questions. You have become disenfranchised. You can either contact them or even talk to me about working towards a solution. I may not be of a huge help here since I am an independent, but I know them and work with them and want to help our boro. Obviously so do you, since the last few years you have recognized the prevalent bad politics and have been expunging the bad politicians from our boro and trying to on the county level also. For that I personally thank you and want to continue this progress for the good of our boro and the residents of the other towns. Now you even have the oppurtunity to go deeper with your change, even at the committee level if need be. Time for the proper democrat party to represent its constituency. Good luck to us all.
